The Jury’s Still Out on Cats

11 Apr

Cat Jump by Anna Debenham via Flickr

Have any of you seen this terrifying new show called My Cat from Hell? There was a time (about 15 hours ago) when I thought I’d relinquished my distaste for cats. Not so, my friends. I must admit, the show is pretty funny. Imagine “The Dog Whisperer,” but for cats. Pretty much an oxymoron. Still, the entertainment value makes it worth a watch for cat-lovers and cat-not-so-lovers alike.

Speaking of funny cats on film, here are two awesome videos shown to me be “the boy” as of late. They’re helping to somewhat repair what was undone by “My Cat from Hell.” Enjoy!

Oh and this, too. (Way too cute!)

Kate Bosworth for Vanessa Bruno

29 Sep

Have you guys seen this amazing video of Kate Bosworth for fashion designer Vanessa Bruno‘s Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection? It’s beautiful and I just love everything about it: the way Kate moves while wearing the clothes, the intensity in her eyes, and the fast-paced but ethereal music in the background. All awesome.

The Whole World In A Film

One Day on Earth – Motion Picture Trailer from One Day On Earth on Vimeo.

Last year amateur and professional filmmakers from around the world recorded stories from their part of the planet all on the same day. These stories are now being edited and compiled into one amazing-looking feature film that shows how connected yet diverse we all really are.

I don’t know about you guys, but just watching the trailer gives me goosebumps. I can’t wait to see the final product. In the meantime, anyone can get involved by donating, joining the social network or checking out related causes on the One Day on Earth website.

How To Be Alone

8 Mar

I’ve always thought that being alone was sorely underrated and now, this sweet video by Tanya David and Andrea Dorfman shows exactly why it’s awesome.

p.s. What do you guys do during your alone time? I love being lazy and watching Netflix streaming movies in bed, reading books, dancing in my room, and baking/cooking with a new recipe. :)
